My Prima Design Team Entries!

I recently noticed that Prima was looking for Design Team members.  When they put out that call, I hesitated.  Was I good enough?  Could I get together enough projects in time?  Could I wow their socks off?

I just wasn’t sure if I should apply.  But I got some very good advice from a friend….”it doesn’t hurt to try”.  So…

My first project to enter for the design team is a favorite of mine.  It’s very original!  It’s my Outhouse with Mini Album!

I love the way it turned out!  I’m so proud of it!  I paid close attention to every little detail.  I wanted it to look like a real outhouse.

I added a Prima branch to the side along with some Prima flowers from the March Special Delivery collection.

Isn’t the inside cute?  I even included a “potty hole”!  Oh, and you can’t forget the poopy paper.  There is even a crescent moon window with screen.  That was a challenge to cut that out.

I used the gorgeous Madeline collection of papers for my cute little mini album.  The album is made out of toilet paper rolls!  I put tags inside, giving more space for photos.

For the front of the album, I used another Prima flower along with a piece of ribbon flower.  The colors of the Madeline papers were perfect for this album.  The browns and greens are the ultimate colors for camping.

My second project is a crochet newsboy hat with Prima flowers adorning it!  The flair button is from the Prima March Special Delivery kit (I love the March kit…can’t you tell?).  The large pink flower is from a kit that came in a tin, from Prima, along with other flowers, ribbon, and sequins.

I used another March kit flower, and a cute Prima fabric flower.  So cute!

I love to crochet, and am really pleased with the way this hat turned out.  I can’t wait to wear it!
My last project is a beautiful Angel Dressform!  I adore the way the wings turned out!  It took me a long time for the wings.  Each feather is made of paper, cut out by my Silhouette.  I glued each one on separately on both sides of each wing.  Then I used a bit of actual white feathers to cover the bases of the paper ones when I glued them on.  I then painted them all over white to make sure it was the white white.  I did a crackle effect on the dressform then made the dress out of fabric and paper.  I used the March Prima Special Delivery kit to decorate it (including the paper).  I trimmed it off with some lacey trim I had in my stash.

I’m in love with this project, and I hope you are, too!  So these are my entries!  Cross your fingers…only time will tell.  I love Prima products!  They are so beautiful, and fun to work with.  There are so many ways to incorporate their products.  The possibilities are endless!

What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #298

Hey, it’s that time of the week again!  I have a bunch of projects sitting on my desk from Prima Art Venture in Anaheim that I went to in January.  I finally finished a few of them!  And here they are!

I’m getting ready to take photos of each of them to add to my “Experience at Prima Art Venture” video that I’m working on for my Youtube channel!  I love Prima products!  And I’m looking forward to going to Prima Art Venture again when it arrives in Edmonton (Canada) in September!  Yay!

So that’s my desk…why not check out some more talented/messy desks this week at What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday #298 at Stamping Ground!

What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #297

Well, well, well…another Workdesk Wednesday!  I think I’m developing a habit, though.  Here’s another picture of stuff on my desk that needs putting away.  Geesh!

I spent 5 days at a wonderful country scrapbooking retreat!  I just got back on Monday evening.  So now I have to put all my scrappy stuff away…again!  It seems like it’s never-ending.  That canvas is a gift I made for my Great Aunt.  She lives near the retreat, but wasn’t home then.  I will take it with me to give to her when I go again in June.

It was so fantastic being with those bunch of ladies again (along with some new ladies that hadn’t been before, but are friends of mine)!  Here’s a pic of a couple of us who went a day early:

Check back next week to see what is going on…on my desk!  Also, please check out all the other ladies that have posted their workdesk pictures at Stamping Ground’s WOYWW #297.  There are a lot of creatively messy desks out there!  And if you like my posting today….leave me a comment.  I would love to hear from you!

Sorry, but I can’t really show you exactly what’s on my desk today. It’s a surprise for a scrappy friend. I don’t want her to see it ahead of time. So, you will have to just imagine for now. I will post pics of it after I give it to her. You will like it!

Well, here’s another installment of What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday!
DSCF4055

Yet more stuff to put away!  Sheesh!  Some CTMH cardstock–I needed to better cardstock than kraft cardstock for my tree ornaments I’m making for my sorority convention.  I have to put away the papercutting heart I made for this month’s Create Craft Share Youtube hop.  I bought a box I’m going to alter for an upcoming retreat.  Also, a few bits of memorabilia from our Christmas vacation to put away.  Well, there you have it!  My messy desk for today!

Check back next week to see what is going on…on my desk!  Also, please check out all the other ladies that have posted their workdesk pictures at Stamping Ground’s WOYWW #295.  There are a lot of creatively messy desks out there!  And if you like my posting today….leave me a comment.  I would love to hear from you!

Shopping bags with goodies! Don’t we love those.
Theres lots going on on your desk and I’m looking forward to seeing your altered box.
Well, the weather here in Spain has been awful. We’ve had terrible gales with the inevitable intermittent power outs for several days (we live out in the sticks) and of course no internet…. Not able to do any visits, just trying to catch up now.
Have a good week,

As you no doubt saw on my desk I have a lot of putting away to do.  Struggling with where to put it – maybe tomorrow I should attack the room.  Glad you are not in the same predicament and good luck with the cards.
Envious of those stamp pads.

What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #294

Well, I’ve decided to join this fun Wednesday group! Each Wednesday you take a photo of your Workdesk (no matter how it looks)! What a great idea! So here is my very first WOYWW post!
DSCF4040
My desk is a bit of a mess!  I’m still trying to put things away after attending Prima Art Venture a couple of weeks ago.  I got a HUGE Prima goodie bag, along with a few items I purchased, too.  Also on my desk is a bag I won in Trina McClune’s class at Art Venture!  It has a bunch of Prima goodies in it, too!  You can see a couple of the other projects I worked on at Art Venture (top, middle of photo).  The middle, bottom of the photo is a tree ornament that I’m making for my sorority convention that is coming in May.  It will be a gift for each attendee.  I have to, unfortunately, make 150 of those!  Yikes!  What did I get myself into?  Anyway….that’s my desk today.
Check back next week to see what is going on…on my desk!  Also, please check out all the other ladies that have posted their workdesk pictures at Stamping Ground’s WOYWW #294.  There are a lot of creatively messy desks out there!  And if you like my posting today….leave me a comment.  I would love to hear from you!

Welcome to WOYWW!  How nice to see you. I looked at the Prima bag with longing, I must be honest, and before reading, assumed you’d cleaned up at CHA. Better yet to be at a con!  I think the tree is lovely, and your time to make one for 150 sorority sisters is amazingly generous.
